This easy-to-make canned chicken fried rice recipe is so good, that I could eat it just about every day! There are loads of goodies in this recipe, such as chicken, onions, scrambled eggs, peas, and carrots. My 3 granddaughters also love it, and you and your family and guest will love it too.
The ingredients listed below will feed about 10 people. This recipe is a big batch of chicken fried rice, so you will need a large frying pan. You can use two frying pans if you don’t have a large one, or you can use a wok. You can also cut the recipe in half and use 1 frying pan.
Key Ingredients for Chicken Fried Rice
- Two 12.5 ounce cans of premium chunk chicken breast
- 4 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 2 packets of fried rice seasoning mix
- Four 8.5 ounce cans of peas and diced carrots
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 6 stalks of green onions
- 6 cups cooked white rice – that’s 2 cups uncooked
Step-By-Step Chicken Fried Rice Instructions with Photos
The first step is to make the white rice. You need 2 cups of uncooked white rice to make 6 cups of cooked rice. Follow the cooking directions on the rice package, then set it aside. Next, chop up the 6 stalks of green onions. Use all of the white and green parts of the onions.
Drain the liquid out of the 2 cans of chicken until the liquid is gone. Then divide the 3 tablespoons of the teriyaki sauce equally into each can of the chicken, which is 1 and a half tablespoons per can.
The Eggs
Next, beat 6 eggs together in a bowl.
Put 4 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large frying pan. Then heat the pan on high heat until the frying pan is hot.
Next, put 6 cups of cooked rice in the hot frying pan, then fry for 2 to 3 minutes on high heat while stirring the rice.
Put the 2 fried rice seasoning packets and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce in the frying pan and stir together with the rice.
Move the rice over to one side of the frying pan, then add 2 cans of the chicken breast together with the green onions. Cook the chicken and onions for a minute or two and then stir them together with the rice.
Move the chicken, onion, and rice mixture to one side of the frying pan, then add 6 beaten eggs to the other side of the frying pan. Scramble the eggs while stirring the chicken mixture.

Stir it all Together
Stir the scrambled eggs together with the chicken, onion, and rice mixture. Push the mixture aside, and add 4 cans of peas and carrots. Cook for a few minutes, then mix all of the ingredients in the frying pan.

- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 6 stalks of green onions
- 6 eggs
- 6 cups cooked white rice (2 cups uncooked)

- Prepare the rice, then set it aside.
- Chop up the green onions. Use all of the white part and green part of the onions.
- Drain the liquid out of the cans of chicken breast. Put the teriyaki sauce in each can of the chicken breast.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl.
- Put the cooking oil in a large frying pan. Heat on high until the frying pan is heated up.
- Add the cooked rice to the hot frying pan and stir the rice for about 2 to 3 minutes on high heat.
- Add the fried rice seasoning mix and soy sauce to the frying pan and mix together with the rice.
- Move the rice over to one side of the frying pan. Add the cans of chicken breast and the green onions. Heat the chicken and green onions for a minute or so, and then mix together with the rice.
- Move the chicken onion rice mixture to one side of the frying pan. Add the beaten eggs to the other side and scramble them. Keep tossing the chicken rice onion mixture around in the frying pan too.
- When the scrambled eggs are done, mix the eggs with the chicken, rice, and onion mixture.
- Push the mixture aside and add the peas and carrots. Cook for a few minutes then mix all of the ingredients together.
