Air fried potato wedges make for a perfect side dish. This homemade recipe is a quick and easy way to make crispy air fryer potato wedges with olive oil and some special seasonings that taste amazing.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit if your air fryer requires it.
Wash the potatoes. We did not peel them, but you can if you prefer.
Cut each of the potatoes into eighths, lengthwise. Look at the photos in the post for a visual of this step.
While cutting the potatoes, place them into a bowl of cold water, for a total of 30 minutes.
While the potatoes are soaking, in a large zip lock bag (or bowl), add the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, table salt, and ground black pepper. Mix to combine.
After the 30 minutes of soaking is up, drain the potato wedges in a colander, then dry them with a paper towel.
Add the potato wedges to the bag (or bowl) of seasonings. Shake, toss, and turn the zip lock bag (or stir in the bowl) getting all of the seasonings coated on the potato wedges.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. It is important to do this, otherwise, the potato wedges will stick to the basket.
Arrange the potato wedges in the air fryer basket.
Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes, turning halfway through.
If you have a smaller air fryer than we do, you will have to do another batch.
Serve immediately.
Notes
You can sprinkle any of your favorite seasonings on the potato wedges before you put them in the air fryer.
After the potato wedges are done cooking, you can sprinkle them with parmesan cheese and parsley flakes if you prefer or anything else that sounds good to you.
You can dip your potato wedges in ketchup, mustard, sour cream, tartar sauce, cheese sauces, dipping sauces, or whatever you prefer.
