These colorful M&M cookies are soft, crispy, and chewy all at the same time! They are filled with tons of mini chocolate chips and M&M candies. Deliciousness in every bite.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside for now.
Soften the butter in a microwaveable bowl in the microwave for 40 seconds.
In another bowl, add the softened butter, sugar, and light brown sugar. Mix until well blended.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Gradually add the flour mixture, then mix well.
Add the M&M candies and the mini chocolate chips. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or use non-stick cooking spray.
Use a spoon or cookie scooper and scoop out the cookie dough and place them on the parchment paper about 2 inches apart.
Press a couple of M&M candies in the center of each cookie dough ball before baking.
Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 11 minutes. Do not over bake.
After cookies are done baking, leave them on the cookie sheet for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack and let them sit for a couple of minutes until cool.
Repeat these steps for additional batches of cookies.
Notes
There is no need to chill this cookie dough before baking.
This recipe bakes the cookies for 11 minutes. The cookies should be a little bit of a light golden brown color around the edges. Depending on how hot your oven gets, keep an eye on the cookies. Do not over bake.
